Chinese Ambassador to Samoa Fei Mingxing Held Reception to Launch Embassy’s New Premises and Celebrate Spring Festival

On February 8, 2024, Chinese Ambassador to Samoa Fei Mingxing held a  reception to launch the embassy’s new premises and celebrate the Chinese Spring Festival. Among distinguished guests are H.H. Head of State, Tuimalealiifano Vaaletoa Sualauvi II, Hon. Prime Minister, Fiame Naomi Mataafa, Hon. Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Papali'i Li'o Taeu Masipau, Hon. Member of the Council of Deputies, Afioga Le Mamea Tuiletufuga Ropati Mualia, and cabinet ministers, members of the opposition party, diplomatic corps and representatives of local Chinese community. 

Ambassador Fei extended New Year's greetings to friends and expressed gratitude the Samoan government and people for their valued support to the embassy project. 

Hon. Prime Minister Fiame congratulated Chinese government and people on the spring festival and the opening of the embassy’s new premises, reiterating strong resolves to further develop Samoa’s  relations with China. 

Ambassador Fei, together with H.H. Head of State, Hon. Prime Minister, Hon. Speaker of Parliament and Hon. Member of the Council of Deputies unveiled the embassy’s new premises. 

Samoan dancers performed both Samoan and Chinese dances. Teachers and students of the Confucius Institute of the National University of Samoa made paper-cut, calligraphy and other interactive exchanges with guests.
